1. If the amount is less than Php 500,000 then normally such transactions are not reported to the Banco Central or AMLC ( Anti Money Laundering Council ).
2. Banks do not ask you. They just give you a form where you fill up the nature of your deposit. Example: from your salary
3. Government or banks do not monitor your account based on your amount of deposit. They monitor your account if certain transactions are linked via web of transactions from illegal sources. Such as, from accounts previously frozen upon the instructions of the Courts or AMLC.
4. You may transact in any currency you wish or pay deposits in dollars as long as the parties have agreed on the exchange rate. Otherwise, the official currency of the country is the Philippine Peso. |
